So often these days I make four identical backgrounds. Well, strictly not identical, but using the same ingredients. These are cut from a pizza box, have a coat of white gesso, then pink and yellow stenciling, some b&w tissue tape and narrow washi tape. Sentiments are from 7 Dots Studio (love that kraft paper look!).
I built two different groups. First, meet the Sweet & Positive Birdies:

You fill my life |
Eclectic Ellapu: Flora and Fauna
Lunagirl: Flowers and Birds
Berry71bleu: March challenge (moodboard colors)
Then I made another group with the same backgrounds. It's about Adoration. I don't know what this caressing a chin is all about - I have three Victorian postcards with the same theme. Perhaps it was the closest you could get to a lady, an intimate gesture at a time when kissing and hugging in public was unseemly and frowned upon. To me the gentleman clearly looks to be worshiping the lady. (She looks less pleased, though.)

She had never seen such a deep adoration in anybody's eyes. |
- Would you like me to get you a kitten? |

DeleteOh my goodness! This is my first trip to your blog and I am LOVING it! I have just spent the last several minutes ignoring the meatloaf in the oven and perusing your posts instead. What a great eye for design you have and I think your projects are so refreshing and inventive. I also have gotten such a kick out of your witty writing style. What a treat to have eye candy and clever literature in the same post! Anyhow, I digress. These cards are remarkable and I love how you managed to tell a story with the man and woman and how you spread them out across two cards. What a unique idea! And those bird background cards above it made my jaw drop! LOVE them and am so glad I discovered your little corner of cyberspace. Thank you so much for taking the time to enter our Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Can't wait to see what else you create!
