I made this card for a dear someone in New York City celebrating a round nice 33.
Background was done with acrylics mixed with some light sand for texture and then applied with a combination of a brayer, a spatula, gelli plate and a ruler dipped in paint. I was inspired by this challenge to make something 'native', i.e. folkloric for the background. This mimics the so called flame weaving of the Finnish folk costume. (one example of a skirt)
Colors were kept bright and happy.
Even the back had a message.

Take a Word: Happiness
It's a long time since I've seen 33, but as I recall it was quite happy! Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIhana kortti!
ReplyDeleteLike how your word is like a skirt. Thanks for joining us at Unstampabelles.
ReplyDeleteI remember that happy number for me. My last child was three years old. Now he is 47. Happiness cards are nice.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful card about happiness and bright colours. Made me smile.
ReplyDeleteSuch fun layers and texture! I love the color combo too. Thank you so much for playing along with us over at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog this week :)
