I love using book paper, it gives such nice character to backgrounds. Even if it is totally unrelated, like here.
I went with the book theme and selected 'short story' as my title. You can make up your own story - it is fall, she looks determined, there's a shiny bough in her arm - enough said.
The leaves are die-cut and embossed. I highlighted the veins with some Distress ink.

There's something enchanting about this beautiful vignette. I love the pop of color you added with the pink branch. Thank you so much for sharing with us at the Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog "Impress Us" challenge!
ReplyDeleteAlice, your makes are always so thought provoking! I love the pop of glittery pink that helps us not take this too seriously. Great collage and the sentiment is a perfect fit. Thank you so much for sharing your artwork with us at Frilly and Funkie! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right Alice, the book print provides the perfect base for this wonderful little project. Thank you for joining us at Frilly and Funkie for this challenge xx
