Hopefully this works. On the surface it may appear sweet, but it has some sinister traits. I made two atc cards.
Little Ella, why are you mowing your lawn all by yourself, watch out!
Vintage Garden 1. (Ella) |
Vintage Garden 2. (Little William and Bello) |
For the first one I used watercolor paper as background. I sprayed it with glimmer mist (Tattered Angels ) through a stencil, then stamped with a self carved background stamp with brown Stencil Gel. I then stamped the flowers with Ranger Distress Ink (stamps by Stampendous, Stampington). Pictures are from a sheet by Tuscan Rose, aptly named "Vintage Garden". The fly is from my private collection.
The latter has background from a cereal package that has been sanded down, then smeared and painted with several different shades of gel paints and acrylics. Stamping and pictures as above.
This was a fun challenge. Be sure to watch out for their monthly cues.
Oh Alice! This is a fun post and I love that the ATCs are innocent at first glance but then menacing at second glance! Wonderful design and LO! Your stenciling is awesome, plus you make your own stamps! What! That is so cool! Awesome sauce!

DeleteHi Alice, thanks so much for your lovely comment over at mine... I've been having a lovely time browsing around your recent posts, and really enjoying your work. I love the quirky sense of humour and wonderful use of vintage images. It would be lovely to sign up as a follower, but I see you don't have those options... Ah well, I'll just have to try to remember to drop by!

Thanks Alison, such a nice comment.
DeleteHow would I go about giving that option? I haven't been trying to restrict anything, I just don't know how.
Oh my gosh Alice, these are absolutely amazing!! At first I thought Alice in Wonderland, then I looked a little closer and I was like...BLAM, The Brothers Grimm! LOVE IT! Your backgrounds are amazing! Recycled cereal box, a woman after my own heart...for me it's pizza boxes. And you make your own stamps to boot! You are a talented lady and I am so honoured that you have joined us at Anything But Cute for our 'Vintage Garden' challenge! Hugs, Pamellia DT :)
ReplyDeletePS, I agree with Butterfly, I would love to become a follower...any chance you might hook us up with a Friend Connect gadget some day? hint hint wink wink
