What's your poison? / Mikä on myrkkysi?

I love the old films and books, a guy standing at the sideboard and asking another "What's your poison?" and then mixing him a drink.

It's all about your favorite beverages in two challenges this week. So here comes my favorite, eh, poison.

What's your poison?
It is coffee. This card shows it all: it picks me up, it gets my gears going, I like it dark with no sugar, but yet I like to stir it. And oh, dark does not mean black, it means there is only a dash of milk in it. (If you ever worked in a New York deli, you would know, he he).

A detail showing some of the embellishments. A spoon, a wooden coffee stirrer which I used as a base for the number sign - totaling the mugs of coffee I may have consumed in my life. It could be more, it could be less, let's just call this an approximate.

  5. Hi Alice! Thank you for stopping by my blog and giving me much needed feedback about my artwork...I have a hard time with subject matter. I will definitely take you advice and paint more faces. They are not easy but when they are done it's very rewarding. I really like your mixed media style and hope you have a great day!
